Some people are afraid that using popvox puts their email address out there for others to use for unwanted emails. If this is not true what can we tell them to make them comfortable. I personally think this is a great way to measure the movement if we can guarantee their email will not be abused.

I think that we can assure users, that emails are only used to verify that you are a valid constituent of any Congressman or Senator. Any personal information is requested by your representative. They want to be certain that no user is running a scam.
Popvox has the honor of receiving permanent record status of votes pro and con of an issue to be part of the historical record in the Library of Congress. I would assume that this invitation would not have been extended to popvox if they did not protect users’ emails from being sold. I believe there is wording on the site which guarantees email privacy except to your legislator in your district.
I have never received an email communication from popvox other than verifying a valid email.
